So, a couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a Christchurch Burlesque Superstar, Miss Ruby Ruin as she was coming to Wellington and wanted to do a concept shoot surrounding a beautiful egyptian styled headpiece she had and she wanted me to do it.
She sent me a few images and gave me a couple of ideas and we organised a time.
I have to admit, that everything was going swimmingly until last night when the weather forecast turned a bit sour and I ended up making a completely alternate plan in case the weather really didn't want to play ball with us. But lucky for us, the weather gods must have had their listening ears on this morning as we drove out to the location to chance it, and I went hiking up the hill to check it out.
In the carpark, we had gale force winds and I was nervous, but up the hill it was amazing. Sunny, calm and beautiful.
So the shoot went ahead exactly as planned and we had fantastic fun!
I'm posting a few sneaky peek shots here for you all to enjoy of the regal Ruby Ruin... channelling Nefertiti in the beautiful late afternoon sun.
